Joel loves the creative process of rich oil on canvas, of seeing the paint blend and not blend, of the imagery being created on the once barren white canvas, and of the bold Caribbean color against a sea of blue and green. In many of his works he moves thick areas of paint with both palette knife and brushes to create depth and contrast and color overlay.

Many of Joel's original paintings are available as Giclee ("zhee-clay") prints which are limited edition prints on high quality archival papers and canvases. The prints are siigned and numbered.  This  reduces the cost of the art.
